Morrissey's debut album from 1988, "Viva Hate", is getting the remastering treatment from EMI. The album, remastered by original producer Stephen Street, will hit the stores on March, 26, while a special limited edition single - "Suedehead (Mael Mix)" - will be released for Record Store Day on April, 23.

The album's artwork, whose photo was changed for an EMI centenary edition in 1997, was restored to its original look. In addition, the track "Treat Me Like A Human Being" will replace "The Ordinary Boys" and a written introduction from Morrissey's long-time confidant Chrissie Hynde will be included (plus a booklet full of rare photos). The album will be available on cd (gatefold card sleeve) and vinyl (180g heavyweight, gatefold, wide-spine sleeve with a pull-out poster).

The single will feature also two previously unreleased BBC live tracks: "We'll Let You Know" and "Now My Heart Is Full", recorded at London's Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in February 1995.
