5 Things We Learned From Theophilus London's StyleLikeU Interview
Photo: Courtesy of StyleLikeU We're already head-over-heels for Theophilus London's one-of-a-kind style, but then we peeped his recent interview with StyleLikeU, and now we're straight-up obsessed. The Brooklyn-based rapper dishes on everything from his Anna Wintour mockery tee ("I'm sure she'll think it's funny") to his uh-mazing purple dip-dyed shirt. The fashionable artist doesn't use a stylist (!!!) and hopes that his fash-forward ensembles inspire others, but that's not all we learned! Theophilus dropped some DOOZIES on us, and we need to share them with you. Check out the top five most interesting things we learned from the interview below! Theophilus London for StyleLikeU.

At once point in his life, he would've chosen Jordans over any sum of money: "These are some Jordan 3s. These shoes are just like, if you put them on, you're just a rock star. [...] I could take a million dollars or I could take a pair of Jordans, and as a kid, I'd take a pair of Jordans." 3.) He personalizes all of his jackets with patches: "In Paris I would visit this huge market where they would sell everything—all this old womens jewelry. They have all these buttons and patches and [...] royal emblems of national armies, so I picked up a lot of these and put them on almost every different coat that I have to personalize it." 4.) He really likes kilts: "[Givenchy] is doing kilts for men, so I went everywhere in New York to find that, and I found this Rick Owens one, which is so dope because it's attached to the pants." 5.) His style icon is a 72-year-old man: "This guy Leon Ware, he wrote Marvin Gaye's "I Want You" record—he's one of the sexiest men alive. He's such a cool, old, black jazzy dude—one of my fashion icons. So I replicated the "Timez Are Weird These Days" cover from his original artwork—him standing in a suit with his hat on in the same pose." + WATCH THEOPHILUS LONDON'S STYELIKEU INTERVIEW {via StyleLikeU} Like us on ...
