The Dillinger Escape Plan In addition to music, the festivals are set to feature a “dark carnival experience” with big-top tents, pillars of fire, amusement park rides, burlesque performers, fire breathers, stilt walkers, drum circles made of junkyard cars and graffiti walls. The two shows will also feature the debut a Slipknot museum. Slipknot’s Shawn “Clown” Crahan shared the following with Rolling Stone about Knotfest: “It’s time for us to really engulf this idea known as Knotfest where we’re in control, we make a day devoted to our mindset, our ideas, the people that we want to play with, the people that we think our fans want to be around.” Clown also mentions in the article that he hopes Knotfest can be a yearly event regardless of if Slipknot is on the bill or not.
