. Yellowcard – Southern Air (Hopeless, August 14)
. Yellowcard will release a new album, produced by longtime collaborator Neal Avron, in August. Singer Ryan Key said of the album, “This record has such an overwhelming sense of self awareness and positive energy that I credit completely to my ability to reconnect with my Southern roots. The title, along with much of the lyrical content, takes me to Georgia State Highway 316, or A1A through Neptune Beach, FL, where I am driving with the windows down belting the words along to my favorite songs. I feel like a lot of the album is saying thank you to my family, friends, and fans, for supporting us all of these years.”

. The Raveonettes – Observator (Vice, September 11)
.
. The Raveonettes, formed of Sharin Foo and Sune Rose Wagner, will release a new album this fall. The disc was recorded at Sunset Sound Studios in Los Angeles producer Richard Gottehrer (Blondie, Go-Gos, Richard Hell), who the band worked with on their album Pretty In Black. Wagner said, “Overall, we took just seven days to record Observator so in that context, it’s one of the quickest and easiest albums we’ve ever done. It was getting in the right frame of mind to actually write the songs that took several agonizing months. For so long, I tried to capture a new muse and carve out a path forward for us. I travelled thousands of miles to find it and experienced all kinds of insanity along the way. Yet all the while, the future of The Raveonettes was in the people, the occurrences, and the relationships that were immediately around me.”
