- When Kenny Chesney‘s Brothers of the Sun tour hit Nashville this past weekend, thousands piled into LP Field to enjoy an afternoon and evening of music, fun, and sun. However, one fan wasn’t so lucky, and his $200 floor seat sat empty after he was escorted out. His crime, looking just a little too much like the man of the hour, Kenny Chesney himself. According to WKRN, Nathan Blankenship, like many country fans entered LP Field dressed a little too much like Kenny. Although, let’s face it, this happens all the time. I mean, have you ever seen more plaid than at a Jason Aldean show?? Probably not. My guess is that puca shells and cut-off t-shirts were everywhere on Saturday. “Here or there somebody asked to take a picture to make their friends or family think they were with Kenny or whatever, that’s fine. I don’t mind,” he said, adding, “I can’t help with the way I look.” Saturday night, Blankenship said a security officer approached and asked to see his ticket. “Next thing I know he grabs my ticket. He says, ‘Here, can I have your ticket?’ I said here, here’s my ticket and I just thought he was going to lead me back to my seat, which I would have been fine with, but he grabs me by the arm and starts pulling me up the walkway to the very top,” Blankenship recalled. He said, “Is it because I wear the hat? I see a million of these hats here. I’ve worn baseball caps before and people still want to have pictures made but it’s never caused a problem. I can’t believe they think I’m actually him. Why would Mr. Chesney be in the crowd when Tim McGraw is singing?” Nathan was escorted out of the concert, and missed seeing Kenny perform all together. I find this to be sooooo ridiculous on so many levels. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen “Bocephus” at shows around Nashville. For crying out loud, go to a Taylor Swift concert; it’s like Mattel started mass-producing the Barbie Dolls…. During a radio interview with WSIX this morning, Nathan said he was done with Kenny Chesney concerts and his music. This experienced didn’t sit well with him.
