Lady Gaga Plans Shows in South Africa; Faces Even More Controversy

Seems like Lady Gaga is having a major bad luck streak … as many of her concerts in Asia were greeted by irate Christian and Islamic groups who claimed she is out to spread the devil’s message. Now, there’s more hoopla up ahead.
Gaga announced last week that she will be performing in Johannesburg, South Africa, on November 30 and in Cape Town on December 3. And some people are none too happy about it.

A group calling itself “Christians Against Lady Gaga & Beyonce’s SA Tours” which has built up a few thousand followers, are hoping to stop Beyonce and “filthy demon” Lady Gaga from performing in the country. (Beyonce tour? Huh?)

The group began a four-day “prayer avalanche” last week in support of their cause. They’re scheduled to assemble on July 7 to plot out their plan of action.

We hope The Mother Monster won’t be forced to cancel any shows like she did in Jakarta, Indonesia — where an Islamic extremist organization threatened the pop superstar with violence!

Gaga’s about to begin the Australian leg of her tour — she arrived in Melbourne today, to the delight of thousands of awaiting fans. We just hope there’s no controversy Down Under!
