Blog jam: Bluebeat Scene
How long has your blog been going? Since April 2012.What do you write about? I source album reviews from other blogs and websites. This way, I help promote new (and old) bands who have just released an album and I also help to promote the writers and websites that produce the articles. I source album reviews on my favourite genres of music, such as ska, mod, punk, 60s garage, psychedelia, northern soul, 60s R&B, psychobilly and other related styles of music. My blog is a lifelong interest and passion combined. Why should people visit your blog?If you are looking for some great new bands and great new sounds to liven up your day, your party or your record collection, or if you just want to rediscover some of your old favourites, Bluebeat Scene is the place to visit. What's your top song right now? There are so many great songs at the moment, but one getting regular play on the Bluebeat Scene decks is Soulfood Rock by the Magic Touch, a great ska band from Berlin. What's your favourite music blog aside from your own? I have been lucky enough to discover many great blogs since starting Bluebeat Scene, but one of my favourites has to be A Beat City Diary. It's well written and informative. It's got something for everyone and it's helping to keep an underground music scene alive, which I feel is vital in today's music world.Pop and rockReggaeguardian.co.uk © 2012 Guardian News and Media Limited or its affiliated companies.
