In addition to being a platinum-selling recording artist, Chris Brown’s talents also extend to filmmaking. The R&B pop star tweeted out a link today to a new music video he directed for his friend and rapper, Harlem’s LuvaBoy TJ’s new track “Amnesia.” The video finds the hip-hop talent hanging on the NYC streets with his posse, and it also features cameos from Brown and Josiah Hotwire. This isn’t the first time that Brown has flexed his filmmaking muscle: this past spring he made his directorial debut working alongside Godfrey Tabarez on the video for his own single “Turn Up The Music.” For “Amnesia,” a heavily-AutoTuned number, Brown synchs the camera with the chaotic vibe of the song. As for the song’s lyrics — they compare blocking out the haters to being blind like Ray Charles… so there’s that.
