Kanye West Plans To Drop New Solo Album Later This Year

. Kanye West has revealed that he plans to drop a new solo disc before the end of 2012. The rapper, who already has G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer on the release calendar, says he wants to get his sixth solo album into fans’ hands as soon as possible.
. Def Jam VP and Chicago producer No I.D. told MTV News that West is getting ready for multiple releases this year. “He’s coming right after that,†No I.D. said, referring to the upcoming release of Cruel Summer, a compilation album from G.O.O.D. artists. He added, “I’m not working on that [Cruel Summer] album, I’m working on his album. This is Kanye. You know what to expect from the family. He hasn’t missed yet, so don’t expect him to miss.â€
. As for what fans can expect? No I.D. was pretty vague on that point. “It’s what you expect and everything you don’t expect,†he told MTV News. Thanks dude, that’s very helpful.
. This means that West is even busier than we initially thought. The rapper has been signing new artists to his label, prepping a second Watch The Throne disc with Jay-Z and expanding his company DONDA. We want to know: Does he ever sleep?
