Ke$ha's new album will 'resurrect' rock and roll?

Ke$ha is ready to return rock'n'roll to its former glory. Or so she said. "I feel like I don't necessarily agree, but people say that rock and roll is dead, and it is my mission and my goal to resurrect it in the form of my pop music," the singer told MTV News. "That's the goal. We'll see what happens. That's a very ambitious and lofty goal, but that's my goal".

Ke$ha is starting 2012 by showing her range: her stripped-down cover of Bob Dylan's "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" will appear on Amnesty International's "Chimes of Freedom" tribute compilation, due Jan. 24. The acoustic effort is far from the club-centric singles that led 2010's "Animal" to the peak of the Billboard 200.
