The Beatles "Abbey Road" tops US LP charts

The Beatles' music never grows old. The confirmation comes from the top-selling vinyl LP charts in the US. The Fab Four lead the parade with their 1969 record "Abbey Road" with over 41,000 sales, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Behind them, we can find two contemporary bands: Mumford and Sons took the second spot with "Sigh No More" (26,800 sales), while Radiohead took the third with "The King of Limbs" (20,800). Just behind them was Adele with '21' which sold 16,500 copies.

In the meanwhile, the mighty Abbey Road Studios will be open to the public on March 10. People will be able to visit the Studio Two, where the Fab Four recorded, and to hear recordings from Shadows, Pink Floyd and Kate Bush.
