Etta James' sales rise up of 378%

Etta James' back catalogue have registered a sales increase of 378%. The singer has passed away last week, on January 20 at the age of 73. She was suffering from terminal leukemia, kidney disease, hepatitis C and dementia.

Etta James - real name Jamesetta Hawkins - has been a legend in the history of American music. Her unique voice sang anthems like "At last", "Tough lover", "Something's got a hold on me" and “I Just Wanna Make Love To You”.

Now, according to Billboard, James' "Best Of' compilation 'The Best of Etta James - 20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection" rose from number 162 to Number 46 of the Billboard chart. Copies arrived at 30,000, with and increase of 378%.

Etta James' funeral will take place this Saturday, January 28, in Gardena, Los Angeles. Etta's family was asked for donations to sent to the Rhythm & Blues Foundation in Philadelphia.
