Dave Grohl's movie trailer and website launched

Foo Fighters frontman and ex-Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl will soon release a documentary about the studio where Nirvana recorded their album "Nevermind". The much awaited movie is titled "Sound City" and now has a website: SoundCityMovie.com

Sound City studio in Van Nuys, California, closed its doors as a commercial studio in May 2011. Grohl last month commented: "When Sound City closed last year, it was a very sad day. That place was like a church. The list of people that recorded there reads like a virtual Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame...". Then he added: "I decided to make a film about that feeling you get when you put five guys in a room, hit 'record' and the hair on the back of your neck stands up". and then he dropped the bomb: "Expect some epic jam sessions".

Among the musicians expected in the movie there are Slipknot's Corey Taylor, Ratt's Stephen Pearcy and Warren DeMartini, Lars Ulrich (Metallica), Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath, Dio, Heaven & Hell), Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick and Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age).
