The Walkmen announce new album 'Heaven'

The Walkmen have announced their comeback. The band will release the new album "Heaven" on June 4, recorded together with Fleet Foxes and Modest Mouse producer Phil Ek.

The Walkmen
are a really underrated band, skillful in mixing vintage rock with modern indie style. Their most representative record is the 2008's "You & me".

Talking about the follow up to 2010's "Lisbon", frontman Hamilton Leithauser said to NME: "We felt like it was time to make a bigger, more generous statement. When I play it in my car, it sounds strong, which I love".

The record will feature a special guest star: Fleet Foxes frontman Robin Pecknold has sang on the track "No One Ever Sleeps". In the meanwhile, to refresh your memory, we give you the video of the haunting "On the water". Enjoy.

The Walkmen usually prefer the sound of vintage musical instruments, particularly the upright piano, and have often recorded at Marcata Recording, a recording studio built in Harlem in 1999.
