Linkin Park reveal new single 'Burn it down': listen here

Linkin Park have unveiled their new single "Burn it down". The track is the first extract from the new album "Living Things", set for release on June 25. The new effort will feature songs as "Lost in the echo", "In my remains," "Castle of glass" and "I'll be gone."

According to singer Chester Bennington, the new record will be a return to a more familiar and less experimental sound. "With this album, we've incorporated a lot of guitar work with big choruses and the heavier electronic stuff to give it that really big wall of sound feeling without getting too metal. This will be more familiar to people than 'A Thousand Suns' was, where we were like 'Fuck it, we're just going to go bonkers", he stated.

Linkin Park were formed in 1996 by three high school friends: Mike Shinoda, Rob Bourdon, and Brad Delson. After graduating from high school, the three began to take their musical interests more seriously, recruiting Joe Hahn, Dave "Phoenix" Farrell, and Mark Wakefield to perform in their band, originally called Xero.
