Adrian Belew left Nine Inch Nails

Less than 24 hours after Nine Inch Nails unveiled details on their new album, "Hesitation Marks" (and supporting arena tour), they lost a member. Guitarist Adrian Belew (also of prog legends King Crimson), indeed, announced via his Facebook page that he quit the band.

Belew wrote: "hey folks, before this goes too far let me say this: I greatly respect trent and the music he makes. no one is at fault. we both agreed it just was not working. I’m sorry to disappoint anyone. that really hurts. but NIN will do an amazing show and I am back where I belong: creating FLUX".

This is the second member of NIN quitting in two months, since bassist Eric Avery left the band in May explaining that he felt "overwhelmed" by the schedule of the group.
