Mazzy Star, new album due out in September after 17 years

Mazzy Star made their official comeback two years ago with the single "Common Burn"/"Lay Myself Down", but the lack of further activity looked like it was just a one-shot thing. Instead, they officially announced a new album - their first in 17 years - set to be out on September 24 in the U.S. and September 23 in the UK via their own Rhymes of an Hour label.

The title of the new studio effort is "Rhymes of an Hour" and it was written, played and produced by Hope Sandoval and David Roback between California and Norway. The album also features contributions and cameos by the late Bert Jansch and My Bloody Valentine's Colm Ó Cíosóig.

Here is the tracklist:

01 In the Kingdom
02 California
03 I've Gotta Stop
04 Does Someone Have Your Baby Now
05 Common Burn
06 Seasons of Your Day
07 Flying Low
08 Sparrow
09 Spoon
10 Lay Myself Down
