Rumour: new Bruce Springsteen album coming in January?

A new Bruce Springsteen album could be released as soon as next January. Rumours about a follow-up to 2012's "Wrecking ball" have been gaining traction for quite a while among fans and insiders, but they have now gained more solidity in the wake of the recently announced South African dates for early 2014, which will be followed by another string of previously announced dates for February/March in the southern emisphere. At the moment it's unclear if the new album was recorded with the E Street Band (even though band members confirmed that recording sessions took place in Australia last March, with Tom Morello temporarily replacing Steve Van Zandt). An extensive tour might be added, but no details on the itinerary have emerged yet. While American fans are expecting dates in the United States, not part of the 2013 leg of the "Wrecking ball tour", new European dates are being talked about (Springsteen played Europe both in 2012 and 2013). In the meantime, Springsteen played a three-song acoustic set last night at the "Stand up for heroes" webcast. (check video below).
