Merge Records to celebrate 25th anniversary with festival in July

Legendary indie label Merge Records is turning 25. It will celebrate its quarter of a century of life with a three-day music festival to take place on July 23-26 in Carroboro, NC - USA, obviously.

At the moment the lineup features Neutral Milk Hotel, Destroyer, Lambchop (which will perform their fifth LP, 2000′s "Nixon", in full), Caribou, Bob Mould, Wye Oak, The Clientele, Ex-Hex, and The Rock*A*Teens.

Tickets for the full festival cost $195 and they'll go on sale on Friday, March 21th at 11 am EST via the Cat’s Cradle website. Individual show tickets will be available later.

Merge’s 25th anniversary celebrations also include a 25km road race set for March 22nd in Chapel Hill, along with a series of reissues and a subscription-based singles series.
