Rock In Rio 2015 will shake Las Vegas

Rock In Rio festival, in may 2015, will also take place in Las Vegas. It's one of the biggest music festivals in the world and it takes place every two years and - for the first time - it will be hosted by a US city (before it took place in Lisbon and Madrid, besides Rio De Janeiro).

Rock in Rio’s US debut is the result of a partnership between the festival and Cirque du Soleil, MGM Resorts International and developer Ron Burkle of The Yucaipa Companies. A deal is currently in place to hold the event once every two years between now and 2019. And, to make it happen, Rock in Rio is going to establish a new City of Rock in Vegas: to be constructed near Circus Circus, the City will be a 33-acre, 80,000-person capacity open-air venue with five stages, including specific EDM and “indie” stages.
