Jack White covers Jay Z's '99 Problems' live: watch the video

During the first date of his latest leg of North American tour, which took place at Louisville’s Forecastle Festival on July 19, Jack White treated the crowd to an unexpected cover of Jay Z's "99 Problems", which then morphed into "Icky Thump".

White and the rapper have quite a history together: they previously collaborated on a few as-yet-unreleased songs, White’s Third Man Records released a special vinyl rendition of Jay’s "Magna Carta Holy Grail" and the soundtrack for the movie "The Great Gatsby", for which Jay was creative producer.
