Apple unveils the first headliners at the 2014 London iTunes Festival

Apple has confirmed that another edition of its iTunes Festival will take place at London's Roundhouse venues for 30 special concerts during September.

The Festival has become a yearly appointment bringing some of the biggest artists and bands in the world on one stage and streaming the events to a worldwide audience of iOS users who are also able to access the shows on demand for a limited time afterwards.

This year’s line-up looks as big as ever with the likes of Maroon 5, Pharrell Williams, Beck, Sam Smith, Blondie, Kylie, David Guetta, 5 Seconds of Summer, Calvin Harris and Chrissie Hynde taking part. The schedule usually continues to evolve until the last minute as more headline and support acts are confirmed.

The return of the iTunes Festival to London wasn’t a certainty given that Apple had already held a mini iTunes Festival during SXSW in Austin this March, leaving us wondering as to whether the company may decide to take the festival elsewhere this year.

The iTunes festival has played host to over 430 artists, starting out in Camden Town’s Koko venue and then moving to the Roundhouse where it has remained. The venue seems to provide a perfect mix between being intimate and big enough to handle the (still scaled-down) stage setups of the likes of Katy Perry and Lady Gaga who performed last year.
