Bonanza Kylie reissues via PWL and Cherry Red Records

Veteran UK hit producer Pete Waterman is determined we don't get Kylie Minogue out of our heads by reissuing some of her early studio albums via independent Cherry Red Records.

Scheduled for a 27 October re-release are four Kylie albums from the catalog of Waterman’s company PWL.

They are Kylie, which was originally released in July 1988, clinched a record-breaking six platinum discs in the UK, and featured one of her first signature global hits I Should Be So Lucky; Enjoy Yourself came out in October 1989; Rhythm Of Love was originally released in November 1990; while Let’s Get To It, Kylie’s final album for PWL, was first released in October 1991.

The four albums also represent some of Waterman’s productions from his heyday as part of the Stock Aitken Waterman 1980s and 1990s hit-making machine.

For devotees of Minogue, the Australian-born singer, songwriter and actress dubbed the “princess of pop,” there are bonus editions of the re-issued albums.

The Special Edition will include a unique picture-CD artwork plus a 24-page booklet featuring lyrics, sleeve notes and photos. The Deluxe Edition features a 2-CD, DVD plus rare tracks and remixes. The Collector’s Edition comprises a limited-pressing box set that includes vinyl, CDs, DVD and other memorabilia.

Waterman says in a statement: “Back then, we were making music for the moment, but it's stood the test of time. That's something special. And that's why we're celebrating with these very special releases.”

Minogue has been with Parlophone since 1999.
