Aphex Twin: two songs from the new album previewed online

Aphex Twin (real name Richard D. James) will soon release his first new album in 13 years. The new album is called "SYRO" and it's due out on September 23 via Warp Records.

Some of these tracks have been in the works for half a decade at least, as James himself confirmed during an interview with "The FADER": "I’d stockpiled up so much stuff and you can kind of have to draw a line under it somewhere. By banging something out it, it’s like the end of the chapter. It properly draws a line under it and allows you to move on", he said.

James, to promote the new album, also shared online the previews for two new songs: they are early live versions, dating back to 2007 and 2010 of "4 bit 9d api+e+6" and "XMAS_EveT10 (thanaton3 mix)" (at the time, it was referred to as "The Metz Track").
