The new Band Aid 30 video "Do They Know It’s Christmas?" debuted on tv

During the "X Factor UK" episode of Sunday, November 16, the video for Band Aid 30's "Do They Know It's Christmas" was premiered.

The song was recorded on Saturday, November 15, by a bunch of U.K. music stars at London's Sarm Studio, under the supervision of Bob Geldof; among the artists who sang there were One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay's Chris Martin, Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding and Sam Smith. 

2014 marks the 30th anniversary of the original Band aid project and this is its third edition. This time the funds gathered selling the single will be donated for the war on the Ebola epidemic in Africa and to help medical workers in Africa dealing with this "particularly pernicious illness that renders humans untouchable". Geldof explained that significant parts of the lyrics have been changed to reflect the new angle, although the main "feed the world" chorus line will remain.
