Here we go again: Prince shuts Twitter, Facebook accounts


It looked like prince had just started opening up to the world of social media, thanks to the Twitter account of his backing band @3rdEyeGirl, his Facebook page and his own YouTube channel via Vevo.

Today though the temperamental star has decided to shutter the aforementioned Twitter and Facebook accounts and to take down the majority of the videos hosted on YouTube, in what appears to be a change of heart in regards to his social media presence.

Sure, Prince was never 100% on board with the whole social media thing, only a couple of comments were posted on Facebook in the past year and there was that Facebook Q&A that went horribly wrong when the star choose to answer only one question.

It seems like Prince decided it was time to finally give this “internet” thing a go - and what better time than making it coincide with his album release? But, after all, this “internet” thing is not for him.
