Beyoncé, Jay Z and Timbaland sued by Hungarian singer over 'Drunk in Love'

Hungarian singer Monika Miczura Juhasz, aka Mitsou, sued three heavyweights of the international music scene: the queen of pop Beyoncé, her husband Jay Z and producer Timbaland. Mitsou accused the three artists of allegedly using her voice without permission in the hit song "Drunk In Love": according to her, they used her track "Bajba, Bajba Pelem" in the opening part.

"Bajba, Bajba Pelem" was recorded in 1995 with the folk ensemble Mitsou was part of (Ando Drom); it was featured in the album "Kaj Phirel o Del?", then released in the United States in 1997 as "Gypsy Life on the Road".

Mitsou is now seeking damages and has requested that judge rule that the song cannot be played until her voice is removed.
