David Gilmour: new solo album out this fall and first tour dates in a decade

Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour announced his plan to release a new solo album later this year - probably next fall. Gilmour didn't give any info on the timing, but a message on his official website says:

The UK and European shows, planned for September 2015, will coincide with the release of his, as yet untitled, fourth solo studio album, which follows the platinum and UK Number 1 album On An Island.

The last solo album by Gilmour came out in 2006 - "On An Island" - and the artist mentioned he was at work on a new one in October 2014, when during an interview he said:

It’s coming along very well. There are some sketches that aren’t finished, and some of them will be started again. There’s a few months’ work in it yet. I’m hoping to get it out this following year.
