The Prodigy score six consecutive UK n.1 albums

The Prodigy have landed their sixth consecutive number 1 studio album in the UK, with their new release "The Day Is My Enemy" (via the band’s own label Take Me To The Hospital and Cooking Vinyl Records).

Early results from other territories show good performances internationally, with the band hitting #2 in Holland, #4 in Ireland, #8 in Australia and topping Japan’s international album chart. The album has also already surpassed the gold sales threshold in Russia.

According to a press release, Cooking Vinyl Founder Martin Goldschmidt commented: "The Prodigy's sixth # 1 album epitomises a band who have always been independent.  A band who have never compromised and are leading contenders for the most important independent band of all time.  It is a testimony to the hard work and to the talent of the Cooking Vinyl (and partners!!!) team who have played a crucial role in delivering this landmark result".
