Pete Townshend and Eddie Vedder team up for "Celebrating The Who" benefit concert

The Who's guitarist Pete Townshend and Pearl Jam's frontman Eddie Vedder will team-up for a special benefit show in Chicago, to take place on May 14 at the Rosemont Theatre. The event is called "Celebrating The Who" and it's a homage to the legendary British band, obviously; but it's also a charity event, since the show will raise money for Townshend and Roger Daltrey’s charity organization Teen Cancer America, which supports programs for teenagers with cancer through the University of Chicago Medicine.

On stage, with Pete and Eddie, there will be Townshend’s brother, guitarist Simon, as well as various touring members of The Who: drummer Zak Starkey (also Oasis); bassist Pino Palladino (also Paul Simon, D’Angelo); and a trio of keyboardists in John Corey, Loren Gold, and Frank Simes.
