Sly and the Family Stone announce 'Live at the Fillmore East' four-disc set

A four disc set, documenting Sly and the Family Stone's four-concert stand at New York City's Fillmore East in 1968, is due out on July 17 via Epic/Legacy. The release is called "Live at the Fillmore East October 4th & 5th, 1968" and it portrays the four Fillmore of the legendary group, recorded towards the end of a busy year, during which they released both "Dance to the Music" and "Life".

Originally these recordings should have brought the tracks to release a live album - featuring selected songs from all four shows; the project was aborted when the band scored a Top 10 hit with "Everyday People" off the seminal 1969 LP, "Stand!" and the tapes were put in storage.

The planned release includes all four sets from those two nights in their entirety. This is the whole tracklist:
