Years & Years premier new single “Shine” from debut album “Communion”
Years & Years have unveiled their new single. Following the chart-topping “King”, “Shine” sounds like it could be just as successful. Listen to it below:
The glistening, house-nodding cut from their highly-anticipated debut album is out on 5th July, whilst their first LP has been given a new release date, 10th July via Polydor.
Talking about the song “Shine”, frontman Olly Alexander explains:
“The metaphor of ‘shine’ and ‘shining’ comes from the way somebody can make you feel totally brand-new and special and re-made in the light of their love, but how that can feel incredibly unstable and overwhelming and make you want to destroy yourself,”.
