The War on Drugs now signed to Atlantic Records

Philadelphia indie rockers The War on Drugs are now officially in the roster of Atlantic Records' artists. "The Wall Street Journal", indeed, reports that the group fronted by Adam Granduciel had signed a two-album deal with the Warner Music Group label.

This way the band leaves Warner Music Group label (previously they were signed to Indiana indie Secretly Canadian, which counts Animal Collective and Yeasayer on its roster).

The War on Drugs' latest album is 2014's "Lost in the Dream", whici received widespread acclaim for its throwback vibe and nods to the Americana sounds of 1980s Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty, with a touch of Bob Dylan thrown in for good measure.
