Fleetwood Mac: Manchester gig cancelled due to illness

Fleetwood Mac cancelled tonight's performance at the Manchester Arena due to illness. The band were forced to cancel their show in Birmingham earlier this week but are hoping to return to the road at Isle of Wight festival this weekend.

A statement from promoters read:

We are very sorry to announce that tonight's Fleetwood Mac On With The Show tour date in Manchester, UK, has been cancelled due to illness, the band intend to resume the tour with their scheduled performance at the Isle of Wight Festival on Sunday, June 14.

The live dates mark Christine McVie's return to Fleetwood Mac after a 16-year absence from touring.

Fleetwood Mac's July 1 show in Manchester is expected to go ahead as planned while the cancelled Birmingham show has already been rescheduled for Tuesday, July 7.
