Katy Perry hasn't started work on her next album, "She's taking a break for a second"

Apparently Katy Perry has not yet started work on her next studio album.

Speaking to Idolator, Perry's regularly songwriting partner Bonnie McKee explained that the "Teenage Dream" singer is taking a well-deserved after her "Prismatic" world tour, but admitted that Katy loves to work so she's shure it won't be long before she's back in the recording studio:

I don't think she has started yet. She just finished a tour and I think she's taking a break for a second. She needs a break. I know she never stays out of the studio for long though, so I'm sure it won't be long.

The "Prismatic" world tour ended its latest leg in May, now Katy is off for the whole summer before a string of final shows in Latin America at the end of September.

Meanwhile, Perry recently landed at third place on a list of the world's highest paid stars. The singer is estimated by Forbes to have raked in £85.8 million ($135 million) between June last year and June 2015. She gave a fantastic speech to fans as the information was shared and told them to embrace being "a boss" if they have the opportunity to get there:

Ladies, there is a difference between being humble and working hard to see the fruits of your labor blossom, and your dreams realised. Hopefully this cover can be an inspiration to women out there that it's okay to be proud of hard earned success and that there is no shame in being a boss.
