Noel Gallahger, Led Zeppelin, Stone Roses dominate vinyl sales in the UK in 2015

The Official Charts Company reports that Noel Gallagher has both the UK’s top selling album and single on the vinyl format so far in this 2015.

Also, according to the BPI, demand for LPs has risen again this year by 56.3%; and at its current rate of growth, could reach 2 million sales by the end of 2015.

"Chasing Yesterday", the latest album from Gallagher's new band the High Flying Birds, tops the vinyl albums countdown, while singles "Riverman", "Ballad Of The Mighty I" and "The Dying Of The Light" take the top three spots in the singles list. Led Zeppelin have 2015’s second best selling album on vinyl thanks to the reissued classic "Physical Grafitti" and eigth with "Four Symbols". Another classic – The Stone Roses‘ 1989 self-titled debut  – is third.
