Adele’s 25 is officially the UK’s biggest selling Number 1 album ever (during opening week)

Adele has officially the UK's highest opening-week sales for an album ever with her "25", as reported by the Official Charts. The singer's album sold 800,307 copies this week, giving her the highest opening week sales in Official Chart history, beating Oasis’ previous record with "Be Here Now" (who sold 696,000 in their debut chart week, though it was released on a Thursday so only registered three days of sales).  

The album's already gone 2x Platinum and managed the most downloads in a week of all time, shifting an incredible 252,423 digital copies this week.
