SoundCloud introduces "Stations" radio-like functionality

SoundCloud has unveiled a new feature called “Stations”, enabling users to tap into a long stream of music which relates to their Likes on the platform. 

The company states that the feature is an evolution of its “Related Tracks” option, and makes it easier to access whilst improving recommendations.

Stations can be generated based on a particular track or on a search term, and users can save those station to access them at a later date. 

SoundCloud is likely to unveil more new features over the coming months as the company prepares to launch its long-awaited music subscription service. Discovery is one of the big issues for the service and this new functionality will be welcomed by many users. 

Stations is available on SoundCloud’s iOS and Android apps.
