Michael Stipe, Cat Power and more artists paid tribute to David Bowie at Carnegie Hall Tribute Concert

Last night (March 31) the first of two David Bowie tribute concerts took place at New York's Carnegie Hall.
Michael Stipe, The Flaming Lips, Pixies, the Mountain Goats, Cat Power, Debbie Harry, J Mascis, Sean Ono Lennon, and more took the stage to cover Bowie's songs in his honor. 

Cyndi Lauper and Bowie collaborator Tony Visconti opened the show with "Suffragette City."

The second tribute concert will take place tonight (April 1) at Radio City Music Hall (New York). It's sold out, but will be available to stream for a donation to a non-profit. Find more information here.
