Police reports confirm that Prince had prescription drugs at time of death

According to a new police report, Prince was found with prescription painkillers at the time of his death. The iconic Minneapolis musician died in his Paisley Park home in Minnesota on April 21, aged 57. He was reportedly found collapsed in a lift and pronounced dead at 10.07am.
A postmortem has been carried out but no cause of death has yet been confirmed.

The day after the tragedy, "TMZ" reported that the singer probably had overdosed on the Percocet (an opiate painiller) five days before his death: the singer was indeed admitted to a nearby hospital and given an emergency shot of the anti-overdose drug Naloxone, before being discharged after three hours. Rumours suggest that Prince was taking Percocet to alleviate hip problems.

Now "NBC News" reports that policemen have confirmed the presence of painkillers found in Prince's possession when he died - on the body and in his home. It is not known whether the drugs had any part in Prince's death.
