Neil Young's full catalogue arrives on Tidal

Neil Young is notoriously one of the most critical voices against services offering streaming music - indeed last June he withdrew all his music from these channels.

Now the Canadian rocker just seems to have changed, at least partially, idea - he has decided to give Tidal (the platform tied to Jay Z and a group of artists that share the property with him) his entire discography - 57 albums, including the mega-collection from 125 songs "Archives Volume I [1963-1972]". So it's all available for streaming via said platform.

Tidal also offers an option (from $ 19.99 a month) to listen to music in high definition - a point on which Young has always had much to complain about, since he accused the streaming services of offering low quality music audio.
Moreover Young has always complained about the lack of transparency and the royalties given by the streaming services being too low, but obviously the agreement reached with Tidal satisfies him on both fronts.

Young, however, has just announced the release of a new live album -"EARTH" - scheduled for next June, which will contain songs recorded during his last tour, mixed with ambient noises and sounds of nature.
