Beyoncé's "Lemonade" hits No. 1 spot in the UK

Beyoncé has achieved her third No.1 album in the UK with "Lemonade". The singer's latest effort sold 73,000 copies in the last week to reach the top of the albums chart today (April 29).

The Official Charts Company said it makes the record the fastest selling album of the year so far, as it was just released last Saturday (April 23). 14% of its sales came from streaming, which is the most per week since the chart included streaming last year.

At No.2 on the chart is Prince's "The Very Best Of", with "Ultimate" and "Purple Rain" following at No.3 and No.4 respectively. The musician has seen a massive increase in sales following his death last week.

Rounding off the top five is Sia's "This Is Acting", with Adele's "25" at No.6 - the lowest position it has had since its November release. There's three more Prince records meanwhile in the top 30 - 'The Hits/The B-Sides', 'Sign O’ The Time' and '1999'.

A total of 14 albums from the late icon feature in the top 100.
