Bruce Springsteen reads new foreword to "Born on the Fourth of July" audiobook - LISTEN

The Boss - Bruce Springsteen - has written a new foreword to the anti-war classic book titled "Born on the Fourth of July", written by Ron Kovic in 1978. The new edition is due out as an audiobook on July 4 and it features Springsteen's voice at the start. 

The rocker actually befriended the author/veteran long before his book was made into a Tom Cruise film in 1989. "Born on the Fourth of July" tells the story of its author’s transition from war supporter to protestor - after going to fight in Vietnam, being paralyzed, and coming home to a lukewarm reception. And The Boss' “Born in The U.S.A.” tells the same tale.
