Six Prince properties to go on sale following judge approval

Bremer Trust, which is managing the affairs of Prince and his estate, got permission to sell part of the 15 properties of the late artist to be liquidated. Indeed, Carver County Judge Kevin Eide - a Minnesota judge - has given the administrator of Prince's estate the green light to sell six of the late artist’s properties.

The properties to go on sale include homes, vacant lots and buildings in Prince's hometown of Chanhassen, a suburb of Minneapolis, a commercial building estimated at $22 million and a 156-acre piece of land in Lakes Ann and Lucy valued at $13.7 million.

Prince’s home and recording studio Paisley Park is not among the 15 properties to be liquidated by Bremer Trust - which recently confirmed it “has no plans to sell either Paisley Park or the property referred to as the Purple Rain house”.

Judge Eide said the estate administrators may list the six properties on Aug. 26, once Prince's half-brother Alfred Jackson had the opportunity to tour them, according to Minnesota Public Radio News. The estate must then submit another affidavit before listing the sale of the remaining properties.

Prince was found dead in his Minnesota home on the morning of April 21. He was 57 and was killed by an opioid overdose without leaving a will.
