Frank Ocean left Def Jam and self-released "Blonde"

Frank Ocean released a visual album called "Endless" on August 19: this work marked the end of his link to Def Jam label. And the new album the artist released the day after - "Blonde" - is self-released. As "Pitchfork" reports, a a source close to the situation told that "Endless" "fulfills Frank’s obligations to Def Jam and Universal".

This means Ocean has gone indie. And there's a pretty solid clue, about the ongoing situation: while the credits at the end of "Endless" visual album name Def Jam, the metadata on "Blonde" simply credits “Boys Don’t Cry,” which is also the title of Ocean’s new magazine.
