Prince tribute concert tickets sell out on the spot

On October 13, a Prince tribute concert will take place at the  Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. The tickets went on sale 10 a.m. September 19 via Ticketmaster and the box office at Xcel Energy Center, but they went sold out almost immediately: the "Star Tribune", indeed, reports they were gone almost immediately.

The tickets to see the event dedicated to the Purple One ranged from $19.99 to $152.50 but they almost immediately surfaced on the secondary ticketing market. According to the "Star Tribune":

At StubHub, single tickets were going for $115.99 and up, while a pair on the site SeatGeek were going for $275.95 by the time fees were added on.

Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera, Chaka Khan, John Mayer and Tori Kelly are among performers lined up for the concert sanctioned by Prince's family.
