Legendary Canadian singer-songwriter and rocker Neil Young turned 71 on November 12. He decided to spend this day performing for the Standing Rock Reservation protesters - who are opposing to the Dakota Access Pipeline over potential damage to their land and environmental safety.

Young, whose recent song “Indian Givers” is about said pipeline, visited the camps at the Standing Rock Reservation with his guitar and harmonica in hand.

He also posted a video on Facebook, with the caption:

Got my birthday wish today, my girl took me to #StandWithStandingRock.
