It's official: Prince returns to streaming services on Sunday

Now it’s official: Prince’s catalogue will return to streaming services on Sunday, February 12, NPR reports.

Napster confirmed to NPR rumors that Prince's Warner Bros. whole catalogue (which includes classic albums like "Purple Rain", "1999", "Sign O' the Times", and "Dirty Mind") will be available the same day as the Grammys. Previously rumours said that Prince's Warner music would arrive on Apple Music, Amazon Music, and iHeartRadio's subscription services simultaneously along with all other streaming services. Spotify has not commented, but purple-hued Spotify advertisements appeared throughout the Union Square subway station in Manhattan last week, hinting at the music’s imminent return to the service.

It has not yet been announced what time on Sunday the music will be released.

The Purple One’s discography has not been available on any streaming platform (with the exception of Tidal) since 2015.
