Dominican radio dJ and producer while broadcasting live on Facebook

A radio DJ and his producer were killed in a shopping mall studio in the Dominican Republic; they were broadcasting live on Facebook when they were shot.

Luis Manuel Medina and producer Leo Martinez were killed on February 14 in San Pedro de Macoris, a small city just east of the capital Santo Domingo, according to the Associated Press and newspaper reports. Medina was reading the news during his program Milenio Caliente and was killed on air in a glass-walled studio as his broadcast streamed on Facebook Live. The producer and station director was shot in an adjacent office, where he also died. A secretary was also shot and injured but survived.

Three men have been arrsted by the authorities.
