R.I.P. Chris Cornell dead at 52

Chris Cornell, the Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple Of The Dog frontman, has died at the age of 52.

The Associated Press broke the news. Cornell had been on tour and his death was “sudden and unexpected,” his representative Brian Bumbery said in a statement.

Just hours earlier, Cornell had played a full, 20-song Soundgarden gig at the city’s Fox Theatre venue. Bumbery added that Cornell’s family have asked for privacy. He said they will be “working closely” with a medical examiner to determine the cause of death.
